Gateway Adult Residential Care operates four 24/7 residential care facilities dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults struggling with mental health issues, including Dementia, Alzheimer's, brain injuries, challenging behaviors, and aging-related needs. Position Summary:
As the Administrator, you will provide administrative leadership to a 24/7 residential program, overseeing all day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading an interdisciplinary team. You will guide and support staff while maintaining high standards of care for our residents. This role is crucial to maintaining operational excellence and promoting a safe, compassionate, and compliant living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional resident care.
- Provide leadership to department heads, including Nursing, Activities, and Facilities
- Manage admissions, including evaluations and coordination with families and others.
- Respond to and investigate all reportable incidents and ensure timely notification to appropriate agencies
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, including families, guardians, case managers, and licensing entities
- Supervise and coach department leaders; conduct regular evaluations and performance reviews
- Ensure proper staff training and conduct team meetings to support communication and problem-solving
- Monitor incident reports, trends, and outcomes, ensuring appropriate documentation and response
- Participate in corporate census meetings, strategic planning sessions, and leadership development
- Oversee all aspects of licensing, audits, and quality improvement efforts
- Foster a positive work environment through proactive leadership and conflict resolution
- Represent the campus in professional meetings and community relations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field preferred
- Current Administrator's license
- At least 3–5 years of professional or management experience in a healthcare or social services field
- Knowledge of Oregon administrative rules and long-term care regulations
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience leading staff in a healthcare/residential care setting
- Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, care planning, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Current First Aid and Food Handler's certification
- Passion for serving vulnerable populations with empathy and integrity

Physical Requirements:
- Environment: Frequently work indoors, occasionally outdoors.
- Movement: Perform tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 50-200 pounds), standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, crouching, reaching, and twisting.
- Exposure: Frequent exposure to air conditioning, central heat, chemicals/cleaning supplies, and possible contagious diseases.
- Social Environment: Handle high-volume work and multiple or complicated tasks frequently. Work closely with others in a team setting.
- Specifics: Standing (constantly), sitting (frequently), driving (occasionally), and handling emergencies (rarely).
