Gateway Adult Residential Care operates multiple 24/7 residential care facilities dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults struggling with mental health issues, including Dementia, Alzheimer's, brain injuries, challenging behaviors, and aging-related needs. Position Summary:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? As an Assistant Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality care and support. You will assist the Administrator in managing daily operations, supporting resident programs, ensuring compliance, and providing staff training. Your leadership will help create a nurturing and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Act as the Administrator in their absence, ensuring smooth campus operations.
    • Oversee daily campus activities, maintaining a high standard of service.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations to uphold our commitment to excellence.
  • Human Resources:
    • Support staff through supervision, training, and regular performance evaluations.
    • Manage employee records and databases with precision.
    • Lead program teams, fostering a culture of competence, engagement, and enthusiasm.
  • Resident Services:
    • Supervise program staff and ensure top-notch service delivery.
    • Maintain high-quality standards for resident care and staff qualifications.
    • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure 24/7 resident care.
    • Assist with resident admissions, ensuring a seamless and welcoming transition.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Review incident reports daily and ensure timely follow-up.
    • Support maintenance and safety programs to keep our campus in excellent condition.
    • Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives to continually elevate our services.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Attend and contribute to department meetings, sharing insights and updates.
    • Provide engaging tours that showcase our vibrant community and resident lifestyle.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Health or Social Service-related field preferred.
  • At least two years of professional or managerial experience in Health or Social Services within the last five years.
  • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare/assisted living/residential care facility regulations.
  • Behavioral Support Specialist (BSS) certification or QMHA certification is advantageous.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a 40-hour Administrator Certificate within three months of employment.
  • Eligibility to apply for Administrator's licensing within six months of hire following the successful completion of required exams.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Obtain and maintain current First Aid and Food Handlers Card.
  • Complete OHCA continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain the required annual training hours.
  • Exhibit passion and enthusiasm for the mission of Gateway Adult Residential Care and its residents.

Physical Requirements:

  • Environment: Frequently work indoors, occasionally outdoors.
  • Movement: Perform tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 50-200 pounds), standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, crouching, reaching, and twisting.
  • Exposure: Frequent exposure to air conditioning, central heat, chemicals/cleaning supplies, and possible contagious diseases.
  • Social Environment: Handle high-volume work and multiple or complicated tasks frequently. Work closely with others in a team setting.
  • Specifics: Standing (constantly), sitting (frequently), driving (occasionally), and handling emergencies (rarely).
